Multiple District Four California Lions

Peace poster

The theme of the Lions year 2024-25 contest is

Together as One

To a young person, a dream isn't just a wish, hope, or desire — it's a path, a goal, an ambition. But achieving that dream takes hard work. So this year, we're asking young people to show how they'll turn their dream of a peaceful world into reality.

Lions club contests are encouraged in local schools sponsoring and organizing all youth participating in art and essay programs. Essay Youths aged 11-13 on November 15 are eligible to participate. They will have the opportunity to share their artistic vision for peace. The essay contest was created to offer an opportunity for visually impaired young people to express their feelings of peace.

Since its inception in 1988, millions of children around the world have participated in the contest. The MD4 poster winner will receive $500 and a Plaque, 2 Honorable Mentions will win $250 and a plaque, and all are invited, at their own expense, to receive this at the MD4 Convention where there will be a reception.
