Lions Flag Day

Lions Flag Day Provides American flags to for distribution to school children.

The Lions Flag Day Program was endorsed by LCI in 1978. It was established to promote patriotism and respect for the American flag in the elementary schools and communities of America through the personal involvement of members presenting patriotic programs. American Flags and appropriate brochures explaining the American flag are presented to the students attending the school program. The success of the program itself does not depend on the grandness of the presentation as it does the sincerity of the presenters and the participation of the students. Presentations ranging from a simple flag to more elaborate ceremonies involving the entire student body faculty, community civic leaders and musical bands can, in their own way, be appropriate and contribute to the success of the program.
